Zainab AlBlooki is a passionate Emirati designer and maker who is eager to develop and enhance her knowledge and skills by pushing herself through different challenges. Abu Dhabi is the city she was born and raised in, she get her inspirations from the surrounding environment and culture. She completed her bachelor's degree in fine arts in interior design from Zayed University. Her passion for design and history has led her to start her own practice -Square016- that focuses on interior and product design. She aims to implement contemporary and sustainable designs yet with cultural references. Also, she has passion in wood-working and through square016 she aims to create high quality furniture that are produced by her. Her work has been exhibited in several exhibitions, including Downtown Design, Smithsonian Folklife Festival and Al Serkal Avenue.
